My brother-in-law took this photo using my Olympus E-520. I really like the way he captured this portion of the Memorare sculpture in Intramuros. I will be posting the picture of the whole monument next Monday.
Jose Rizal is the national hero of the Philippines. Shown here are footprint-shaped bronze markers that trace his last steps prior to his execution by Spanish authorities in 1896. His death helped pave the way for Philippine nationalism and independence.
