Last Steps

Jose Rizal is the national hero of the Philippines. Shown here are footprint-shaped bronze markers that trace his last steps prior to his execution by Spanish authorities in 1896. His death helped pave the way for Philippine nationalism and independence.

Litratong Pinoy #42: Kahel (orange)

Ngayon pa lamang ako nakakita ng kulay kahel na kalesa. Sabay pink na kamisa ang suot ni manong kutsero. Ayos di ba? Sana ay pinagsuot din nila yung kabayo ng pink para terno sila ni manong. Marami pang kalesa sa Fort Santiago gaya nito. Iba-iba ang kulay at disenyo. Nagpunta ako roon noong Disyembre upang kumuha ng mga litrato at para silipin ang museo. Ang huli kong dalaw sa Fort Santiago ay noong ako ay nasa kolehiyo pa. Kayo kailan huling nagtungo roon?
