This hand is not mine

My brother-in-law took this photo using my Olympus E-520. I really like the way he captured this portion of the Memorare sculpture in Intramuros. I will be posting the picture of the whole monument next Monday.

Last Steps

Jose Rizal is the national hero of the Philippines. Shown here are footprint-shaped bronze markers that trace his last steps prior to his execution by Spanish authorities in 1896. His death helped pave the way for Philippine nationalism and independence.

Gintong pabalat na may disenyong Hong Kong junk sa harap at Intsik na zodiac sa likod? Opo, tsokolate ang laman nito. Bumili ako ng isang supot noong nakaraang Chinese New Year. Sadyang hindi ko muna inubos para makuhanan ko ng larawan para sa Litratong Pinoy ngayong Huwebes... at dahil tapos na ang litratuhan, heto, nilalantakan ko na ang lamang matamis na tsokolate habang isinusulat ko ang akdang ito. Saraaappppp! Gusto niyo?

Here are the rest of the photos I took last Sunday at Yuen Long Park using my Olympus E-520 fitted with a 720nm infrared filter.


I am planning to explore this medium more in the future. Meanwhile, thank you for bearing with my amateur infrared shots.

A view from Yuen Long Park

This is my first infrared photograph. Last Saturday, I bought a cheap 720nm infrared filter which I tested yesterday. Captured here is a portion of Yuen Long Park and nearby residential and commercial buildings. Yuen Long is a district in the Hong Kong SAR.
